Everything you might want to know before booking — the answers I share most often, in plain language.

What does a pregnancy coach do?
A pregnancy coach provides one-on-one guidance, emotional support, and evidence-based education to help you navigate your pregnancy. I help you understand what's happening, prepare for appointments, manage stress, and make informed decisions alongside your medical team — without replacing your doctor or midwife. I also specialize in high-risk pregnancies.
What's the difference between a doula, a midwife, and a pregnancy coach?
Your OB or midwife provides clinical care — appointments, labs, delivery. A doula supports you physically and emotionally during labor itself. And as a registered nurse with 19 years of experience, a pregnancy coach fills the space between appointments — helping you understand what's happening, prepare questions, and stay grounded through pregnancy and early postpartum. How much does pregnancy coaching cost?
A single 60-minute coaching session is $140. The Pregnancy Coaching Package is $720 for six sessions, and the Postpartum Recovery Package is $780 for six sessions. A free 30-minute discovery consultation is available to help you decide which option fits your needs.
Can I get pregnancy coaching virtually?
Yes. All sessions are available virtually, so you can receive support from anywhere in the United States. I'm based in Arlington, Washington, and serve clients nationwide through secure video sessions.
When should I start pregnancy coaching?
You can start at any point in your pregnancy — whether you've just found out you're expecting, you've received a high-risk diagnosis, you're approaching a milestone scan, or you simply want ongoing support. Because sessions are flexible and used on your timeline, there's no wrong moment to begin.
What should I expect in the first six weeks postpartum?
The first six weeks are recovery — physical healing, hormonal shifts, feeding and sleep adjustment, and watching for warning signs like postpartum preeclampsia. The Postpartum Recovery Package includes six sessions across those weeks, supporting your recovery and adjustment to life with your baby. Read the full guide →
What are preeclampsia and gestational hypertension?
Both involve high blood pressure during pregnancy. Gestational hypertension is elevated blood pressure on its own; preeclampsia adds signs that organs like the kidneys or liver are being affected. Both are monitored closely — and I specialize in supporting women through them. Read the full guide →
What is gestational diabetes?
A type of diabetes that develops during pregnancy when hormones make your body less responsive to insulin. It's usually found through the routine glucose screening at 24–28 weeks and managed with nutrition, monitoring, and sometimes medication. As your coach, I help you make sense of your numbers, build meals that actually work for your life, and carry the daily mental load between appointments. Read the full guide →
